Section 106

This is what we know so far.

Bloor Homes has committed £929,293 to mitigate the first phase of its development at North End. This breaks down as follows:

Education > £560,000
Transport > £224,900
Libraries > £74,393
Sport > £40,000
Community hub > £30,000

Education

A bid to build a primary school at North End was unsuccessful earlier this year. A school for a minimum of 420 pupils has been mooted – with a two-form entry, although the projected intake numbers don’t quite equate to this. The larger size is being pushed for to accommodate future growth.

Road safety

Plans include widening footways (near the railway bridge??)… taking space from the highway.

I believe money has been allocated to widening and raising the zebra crossings in the village to improve their visibility.

We are also having illuminated ‘flashing’ speed signs.

Snippets

The Patient Partnership Group has been told that plans for a new surgery are ‘moving forward’.

The access to the Hallam site will be just south of the Arnolds Way roundabout, although nothing has been finalised.
